Checklist for visual quality control

The error types you should look for on a finished part

Go systematically through the injured and assign triage color according to breathing, circulation and consciousness

§Components

  • 01Are there missing components or are any displaced?
  • 02Are the correct components in the correct places?
  • 03Are components with direction (e.g. diodes, IC) turned correctly?

§Soldering

  • 01Are the solder joints whole, shiny and smooth?
  • 02Are there bridges/short circuits between adjacent pads?
  • 03Is there too little or too much solder?

§The card in general

  • 01Are there visible damage, dirt or foreign objects?
  • 02Are there signs of overheating or discolouration?
  • 03Does the material's lifespan, environmental requirements, and appearance match what the customer expects? Write it down in the quote so you agree on durability – it prevents complaints.
