Checklist against static electricity (ESD)
Protect sensitive components from damage you cannot see
ESD damage often shows up later as unexplained errors. Prevent them with these habits.

- 01Is there an antistatic mat on the table?
- 02Is the substrate and equipment correctly grounded?
- 03Is the work site free of materials that easily build up static?

- 01Are you wearing a grounded wrist strap?
- 02Have you avoided charging yourself (e.g. by touching ground first)?
§The components
- 01Are sensitive parts stored in antistatic packaging?
- 02Do you only take them out when you are ready to use them?
- 03Do you avoid touching legs and contact surfaces unnecessarily?
