Practical overview of what needs to be in place before the final exam

§Documentation

  • 01Education record/log is kept continuously and signed by the apprenticeship business.
  • 02All mandatory school periods are completed and documented
  • 03Practice certificates from all training locations have been obtained
  • 04Any absences or deviations are clarified with the school in good time

§Practical skills — self-assessment

§The final project

  • 01Topic for the project is chosen and approved by the school
  • 02Professional issue is formulated clearly and delimited.
  • 03Relevant background material (sources, own observations, data from the place of practice) has been collected
  • 04Practical demonstration is planned and agreed with the training location if it is included
  • 05Oral presentation has been practiced at least once for a colleague or teacher

§Practical on the day

  • 01Necessary work clothes and equipment are prepared the day before.
  • 02Transport to test site is planned with good margin
  • 03Any aids or materials for the practical exam are packed
  • 04Contact information for stage manager/examiner and school are available
