Maintenance plan for wood processing machines
Fixed plan for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspection of the workshop's machines.
Regular maintenance of the workshop's machines reduces the risk of both work accidents and production stoppages. Use this plan as a fixed routine, and note deviations in a log so patterns and wear can be detected before they become problems.
§Daily inspection (before startup)
- 01Blade protection and shielding are intact and correctly installed
- 02Emergency stop is tested and responds correctly.
- 03Chip extraction is connected and works as it should
- 04The work area around the machine is cleared and free of loose objects
§Weekly inspection.
- 01Sharpness of blades and knives is checked and re-sharpened as needed
- 02Movable parts are lubricated according to the manufacturer's instructions
- 03The machine said it was done
- 04Parallelism, perpendicularity, inclination
§Monthly and periodic inspection

Throughout are the CNC machines that follow a program and can perform complex machining with high precision — and in the most modern workshops also robots. Each machine has its purpose and part of the expertise is to choose the right one for the task. |

§Annual inspection
- 01Electrical inspection carried out by an authorized electrician.
- 02Inspection of safety equipment and emergency stop by authorized technician
- 03Calibration of measuring systems on CNC-controlled machines
§Recording
Note each inspection in the workshop's logbook with date and signature. Deviations and faults that cannot be corrected immediately are reported to the nearest manager so the machine can be taken out of service until it is in order.
