Checklist: are you ready to apply?
Entry requirements, deadlines and apprentice position in one overview
Before you apply, it is a good idea to have control of the practical things. Go through the list here so you know what is missing and what you already have in place.
§The entry requirements
- 01Have you passed elementary school's final exam or an equivalent test?
- 02Do you have at least 2.0 average in both Danish and mathematics?
- 03If not: have you investigated the possibility of an admissions interview and test at school?
- 04Has it been more than approximately two years since primary school (can you not begin at the latest in August of the second year after)? Then you start directly on basic course 2
§School and deadline
- 01Have you found a school that offers the education in your part of the country?
- 02Do you know the application deadline — especially if you are applying directly from primary school?
- 03Have you considered whether you will take the education as EUX?

- 01Have you started looking for a company willing to enter into an education agreement?
- 02Do you have a short, honest application and a CV ready?
- 03Do you know who you can ask at school for help finding an apprenticeship?
The earlier you start looking for an apprenticeship, the better. Many companies like to meet a motivated student, and an approach in good time shows that you mean business.
