Work process: airless spray painting — startup and cleaning
Step by step from preparation to safe completion
§Before startup
- 01Sift the paint to remove lumps and impurities
- 02Choose correct nozzle size for product and task
- 03Check hose and gun for damage or wear
- 04Check that safety shielding on the nozzle is installed
- 05Wear required personal protective equipment: eye protection respiratory protection and gloves
§During spraying.
- 01Hold the gun in constant, parallel distance to the surface
- 02Never activate the gun towards yourself, colleagues or others
- 03Activate the safety lock at any break, regardless of duration
- 04Keep an eye on wind conditions during outdoor spraying
§Pressure relief before nozzle change
- 01Release the trigger and activate the safety lock
- 02Fully relieve the pressure in the system according to the manufacturer's instructions
- 03Change or clean the nozzle first when the pressure is confirmed relieved
§Cleaning after use
- 01Rinse system and hose through with the recommended cleaning agent
- 02Clean nozzle and filter thoroughly so no material dries in
- 03Store the equipment dry and pressure-tested for next use
- 04Dispose of cleaning liquid and residues properly, see safety data sheet
