Checklist: personal protective equipment and work posture

Both protection and body must be checked before work begins

§Protective equipment

  • 01Is the welding helmet with the correct filter in order and tight?
  • 02Are fire-resistant clothes and gloves free from damage and free from oil/grease?
  • 03Have hearing protection and possibly respiratory protection been used where necessary?
  • 04Are other people in the area protected from arc light and sparks?

§Working height and position

  • 01Is the lifting/lowering desk or work table set to a good working height?
  • 02Is the item positioned so you avoid bent neck and forward bent back?
  • 03Has a rotating clamping device or platform been used for large components?
  • 04Can you reach the topic without long reach distances or arms lifted above chest height?
