Logbook: welding certificate and re-qualification

Keep track of what your certificate covers and when it needs to be renewed

A welding certificate according to DS/EN-ISO 9606 is limited to a specific scope and must be regularly maintained to remain valid. This logbook collects the information you and your employer need to document it.

§The certificate's scope of validity

  • 01What welding method does the certificate cover (e.g., TIG, MAG, MMA)?
  • 02What material and what material group?
  • 03Plate or tube, and which welding position?
  • 04Date of issuance and validity period.

  • 02Name of the person who attested the work (e.g. weld coordinator or employer)
  • 03Any deviations or changes in work tasks that may affect validity

§Extension and renewal

  • 01Date for when the certificate must be renewed or re-examined
  • 02Who is responsible for initiating the extension in time?
  • 03Has a new exam been scheduled if the certificate is about to expire or needs to be extended?
