Good habits and preparation

Read the work plan before you start, and prepare the trolley so you don't have to stop work to fetch something. Practice saying the sequence aloud — it sticks best when it becomes a habit. Ask your instructor or practical supervisor every time you are unsure about a product or method.

Use the school's teaching material and the products' own labels and safety data sheets as primary sources. Professional organisations in service and cleaning as well as the Labour Authority publish guidance on working environment, chemistry and ergonomics which are good to familiarise yourself with.
