Checklist: safe truck driving and unitized loads
Before and during work with truck and pallets
§Before driving
- 01Make sure that you have the required instruction/certificate for the truck type.
- 02Perform daily inspection of truck (brakes, steering, warning signals).
- 03Assess the load's weight and stability in relation to the truck's capacity.
§Building of unit load
- 01Heavy and strong parcels at the bottom, lighter on top.
- 02Keep parcel within the pallet's edge.
- 03Secure the load with film tape or net so it does not slip.
§While driving
- 01Keep forks low and ensure clear visibility.
- 02Keep distance from people and drive according to conditions.
- 03Pile and place load on level, bearable ground.
