Control form: Plan an in-house FVU group
For trust representatives, leaders and HR considering FVU in the workplace
§1. Map the need
- 01What subject areas are needed: FVU-digital, FVU-English, FVU-Danish or FVU-mathematics?
- 02How many employees are potentially interested?
- 03Is the need linked to specific tasks such as new IT system or more written reports?
§2. Contact an ABE provider
- 01Find the local VUC or vocational school that offers FVU in your area
- 02Arrange an initial meeting about your needs and opportunities for in-company training
- 03Ask specifically about test format, class size, and typical duration per level
§3. Clarify the practical framework
- 01Should the teaching take place during working hours outside working hours or a mix?
- 02What premises at the workplace can be used for teaching?
- 03How employees are reported and how confidentiality is ensured about who participates?
§4. Involve employees
- 01Inform clearly that participation is voluntary and free for the employee
- 02Create confidence that the course is not about 'uncovering' weaknesses but about building new skills
- 03Let the union representative be involved in presenting the offer if possible
§5. Follow up during and after
- 01Arrange with the provider how attendance and level are followed during the course
- 02Ask if there is a possibility of a voluntary exam and a certificate at the end of the course
- 03Evaluate with the participants whether the program made the difference that was hoped for
