How much a piece of wood shrinks (or swells) when its moisture content changes — e.g. from delivery moisture to furniture-dry indoor climate. Uses traceable shrinkage coefficients for softwood/hardwood and only calculates movement below the fibre saturation point (≈ 28 %).
