Swan Label version 4 for cleaning service came into force on 18 November 2024. Chemical use is cut to a maximum of 300 µl/m², the share of environmentally labelled products is increased to 90 %, and all new vehicles must be electric/hybrid or bio-/natural gas. Here's what that means in practice.
Introduction
The Swan Label (the Nordic environmental label) has since November 2024 a new version (generation 4) of the criteria for cleaning services and window polishing. Already certified companies must document that they meet the stricter requirements, otherwise they lose the right to use the label.
The most important changes (version 4, valid until 1 Dec. 2029)

Furthermore there are new requirements to reduce plastic bag consumption and lower water consumption in the production of modified water for window cleaning.
