If you want to drive a taxi, you need a driver card under the Taxi Act — not a special driving licence. Here are the requirements: age, driving licence, a course of at least 74 hours with tests, language requirement, the card's validity and the equipment a taxi must have.
Introduction
The Taxi Act applies to commercial passenger transport in Danish-registered cars designed for at most nine people including the driver, when the driving is done to make money. Car-sharing where only the costs directly connected with the trip are paid is not commercial (LBK no. 1051 of 17/09/2024, § 1).
The driver card — the requirements
You need a driver card to drive a car used for commercial passenger transport. You can get it when you (§ 7(2)):

- 05meet the health requirements.
The driver card is valid for up to 5 years. It must be in the car while driving and placed so that passengers can see the front (§ 9).
The qualification course
The course lasts at least 74 hours, including at least 6 individual driving lessons in road safety and passenger-friendly, defensive and energy-efficient driving. An hour is 60 minutes including up to a 15-minute break (BEK no. 1244 of 26/11/2019, § 20(1)). The course covers (§ 20(2)):

The course ends with a theory test and a practical test. The practical test has an external examiner, a driving instructor from another approved training centre (§ 21). To be admitted, you must know Danish at the level of Danish Test 2 (§ 24(1)(1)).
