Checklist: preparation for DGNB certification project
The most important preparations before a project begins with certification
§Ambition and organization
- 01Has the ambition level (silver, gold or platinum) been chosen and anchored with the building owner?
- 02Has a project manager been appointed for the certification process?
- 03Do the project's advisors and contractors know the documentation requirements?
§Documentation of climate and materials
- 01Has an LCA been prepared for the project?
- 02Have EPDs been obtained for the main materials – preferably product-specific?
- 03Is the material choice documented regarding recyclability and hazardous substances?
§Social and operational conditions
- 01Has the indoor climate, daylight and noise conditions been assessed and documented?
- 02Is there a plan for the building's operation and maintenance after handover?
- 03Is the waste room tidy and are containers closed properly?
§Timeline and control
- 01Is time set aside for the independent review that certification requires?
- 02Has documentation been collected continuously so it doesn't need to be recreated at the end?
