Masttypen bestemmer, hvor højt trucken kan løfte og hvilken frihøjde den kræver. Duplexmast løfter op til ca. 4 m, triplexmast op til ca. 7,5 m og specialmaster over 16 m. Løftehøjden påvirker kapaciteten — jo højere, jo mindre må du løfte.
