Rigid PVC as the finishing outer jacket
PVC film is the thin, hard plastic jacket used as the outer layer on by far the majority of pipe and duct insulation in Danish technical installations — from the heating plant in the basement to the ventilation runs in the hospital. It is cheap, fast to install, and comes in colours that match the entire pipe penetration.
