Security handover between two security officers

Make sure that nothing falls between two stools

When a shift ends and a new one begins, there's always information that must carry over—promises to guests, ongoing matters, and practical details. A fixed handover prevents things from being forgotten and ending up stuck with the guest.

§The outgoing shift

  • 01Write a short status note about today's most important events
  • 02Note incomplete matters and who is waiting for an answer
  • 03Mark guests with special wishes or needs
  • 04Reconcile the cash and records

§The incoming guard

  • 01PLACEHOLDER_32
  • 02Confirm which cases you take responsibility for
  • 03Check bookings and expected arrivals in your shift

§Shared responsibility

A good handover is both shifts' responsibility. Take it seriously every time — even when there has been quiet. Quiet days are often when an overlooked message can become a dissatisfied guest tomorrow.
